Its that time of year National Doughnut Day is June 7th and there are a ton of deals going on as early as June 1st to celebrate an awesome day.
Cumberland Farms
The convenience store chain often celebrates food holidays, and we fully expect it to participate in National Donut Day in 2019. Last year, customers who purchased a dispensed beverage could grab a free donut between 5 am and 10 am local time.
Daylight Donuts
Select locations participated in the holiday last year by offering a free donut to customers. Details were sparse, though, and there was a chance you'd have to purchase a drink to redeem the freebie. Keep an eye on the chain's social media pages for announcements regarding this year's promotion.
Duck Donuts
Duck Donuts offered a free donut with no purchase necessary last year. There were three flavors to choose from, and the chain even gave customers a buy one, get one free donut coupon to redeem later. While the coupon might not return this year, we expect the totally free treat to come back.
Dunkin'
The mega-chain that recently removed “Donuts” from its name will likely have the same Donut Day offer it's had in the past. In other words, expect a free classic donut while supplies last when you purchase any beverage.
Entenmann's
The baked goods brand doesn't tend to offer freebies, but it's hosting a contest again in 2019. Head to its website to participate in the Fan Flavor Challenge. The winner will receive $5,000 and free donuts for a year! Additionally, there's a chance the winning donut will be made by Entenmann's and sold in stores.
Fractured Prune
Last year, the chain offered a free OC Sand donut to customers. The donut was honey-glazed and coated in cinnamon sugar, and we expect a similar offer — if not the same one — to return this year.
Honey Dew Donuts
This New England chain offered a free S'More donut to customers who purchased a medium or larger drink. With any luck, we'll see the same promo return this year.
Krispy Kreme
This chain will likely celebrate once again by offering customers a free donut of their choice, with no purchase necessary.
LaMar's Donuts
Like last year, LaMar's is offering a free donut to customers on National Donut Day, with no purchase necessary. Click here to find your nearest location.
Rise Biscuits Donuts
Based in the South/Mid-Atlantic regions, this chain didn't offer a freebie to celebrate last year. However, customers who purchased a Chocolate Icing Donut on National Donut Day helped to contribute to those in need. Rise donated 100% of sales from that donut to a local food bank. If the offer returns this year, it's a good way to treat yourself and help others.
Shipley Do-Nuts
Participating locations offered a free glazed donut with any purchase between 5 am and noon local time. We expect a similar freebie this year.
The Donut Experiment
The Donut Experiment is a tiny chain, but last year it offered lucky local customers a free cinnamon sugar donut with any purchase. Anyone who lives near one of their locations should keep an eye out for similar promotions this year.
Tim Hortons
The Canada-based chain offered a contest in 2018, but only for residents in select areas, including Metro Detroit; Buffalo, New York; and Columbus, Ohio. Customers had to find the correct location and request “Gold Timbits” — if they were the first ones to do so, they could win a year's supply of free donuts.
