Buy Store-Brands to Save Money on Groceries
One of the first thing I suggest to those that don't want to cut coupons is to take a look at the store bands. A lot of people frown when I say that. So, let me tell you that there are only a few canning companies that do private labels. That being said there is a great chance that the food you are getting comes from one of these canning companies that you would normally by. Since I worked in retail off and on most of my adult life I can tell you that with a certain you are paying extra for a fancy label. That's all.
The thing about this is that it doesn't just go for the canning items this is across the board from chips to ice cream if I could tell you what the store band chips really are you would be completely in shock. Most of these items are name brands in cheaper wrappings. Over the years store brands for known for one thing. Not tasting good and being a cheaper version. That is not the case anymore. Consumers were tired it and now you can get the same quality or better from the store brands.
Aldi is a store that is known for having mostly store-brand items. If you would like to start with a store like this. I personally would start off with can goods. That's one of the things I love about Aldi the can goods are just as good and cheaper than even grocery store brands. For instance, I like getting the can mix vegetables, or can Rotel at the store that would $1.00 each. I get the store brand at Aldi for $0.35 each the savings are amazing.
A lot of stores even have a guarantee that if you don't like their brand you can get a refund.
