I am a single mom and that being said if you know me then you know I am super busy. I have a teenage daughter that is in her middle school band and high school band…. yeah she is in 8th grade but plays in the high school band. Plus she is in the children's choir, she also ushers, and she is in a mentoring program. Needless to say if me and my grandmom are not running her around I am working on my site or working my job (yes I do have one). The last thing on my mind is cleaning. Until days like today. Now normally this would involve me getting out of the house and having fun. But with cooler temperatures in the forecast time for me to get this house in order, so we can enjoy being home together instead. Here are some useful cleaning tips to remember around the house.
1. Clean your can opener…. To me there is nothing worse to see then see a gross can opener can you believe that there are people that don't clean this? I use vinegar to clean the silver part and soap and water for the rest of it.

2. Disinfect your sponges every night. How? Put the sponge in the microwave on high for one minute and there you go a sterilized sponge. Cheaper then buying a new one all the time.
3. Disinfect your sink I try to do this often as possible and there is a natural way to do it. To disinfect, clean your sink with soap and water first, then spray a mist of vinegar followed by a mist of hydrogen peroxide, and let air-dry.
4.Don't forget your dishwasher : Once a week, shake baking soda on a damp sponge and wipe around the machine’s edges to remove stuck-on food or stains. To clean the inside use bleach or vinegar.
5. Get rid of soap scum you can't see and the kind you can by using a dryer sheet. It works better if you use a new one but will still work if you used it in the dryer. (Recycling)
