So as with everyone at the end and beginning of the year money is tight and for me its something I am constantly concerned about. I am able to get be buy little to no cleaning supplies by using natural items that I can get with my food stamps to help me clean the house. Now don't get me wrong I still buy dish washing liquid, dish washing detergent, pine sol and bleach. That is the extent of my cleaning supply.
After trying to find different ways to keep the cost of cleaning supplies down but still keep my house clean. I have eight great ways to use vinegar. I just bought vinegar a big just for less than 3 dollars and that will last me easily 1 to 2 months. I have some other uses for it but for right now we are going to concentrate on the kitchen. These are things I do in the kitchen once a month.
Cleaning the microwave:
I get a bowl and put in 1/4 of vinegar and 1 cup of water set the microwave on high for 1 minute. Not only does this let you deodorizer the microwave but it also loosens up the food and dirty in the microwave. Afterward I use how soapy bleach water to finish cleaning the microwave.
Coffee Maker:
I use water and 1 cup of vinegar and let my coffee maker go through the brewing cycle. The vinegar and hot water also helps clean and disinfect the pot. Meaning its doing two things at once.
Kitchen Drain:
Pour half a cup of vinegar down the drain then run hot water down the drain.
Refrigerator:
I clean the Frig with half hot water half vinegar. Then go back over the hard to clean areas with a little bleach.
Cleaner dishes and glasses from the dishwasher:
Pour 2 cups of vinegar in the bottom of the dishwasher and add the dishwasher liquid as normal.
Remove Refrigerator Smell:
Place a cup of apple cider vinegar in the frig for 2 days.
Get rid of Ants:
If you wipe down your counters tops with vinegar. I do this along with bleach as well.
Garbage disposal cleaner:
I make a mixer of ice cubes and half a cup of vinegar and pour it down while running the disposal then run hot water.
