So I have been getting a few emails from people wanting to know how do I keep up with all these deals and don’t I get burnt out? So I wanted to come to you today and let you know my response to this. Its evident that since that show ( I refuse to say the name of it cause well its not realistic) there have been so many people jumping on the coupon bandwagon from people doing blog ( I swear after that show I now have HUNDREDS of people that started a blog within the last year.),people doing coupon classes like I do. I mean its crazy how many people really where in that much need to save money. So in some ways yes it was awesome in other ways it has hurt the couponing world.
There are now a ton less deals and with all the rule changes you getting Free items are less and less. But Do I get burnt out? Sure everyone does and believe me I probably do more than anyone. I let my viewers know that my job is to look for coupons and find coupons and match up deals on sites and just find deals period so do I get tired of coupons….. YES.
Here is what I do I take a break…. I don’t use coupons and I know you are like OMG!! There are still ways to save money and not use coupons. Here are a few tips:
1. Use your stockpile.. its there for you to use during burn outs as well..(I promise there will be another sale on spaghetti sauce).
2. Shop for vegetables that are in season as they are the cheapest and plan my meals around that.
3. Still only buy items that are on sale. Because buying them on sale without a coupon is still better than buying the items at regular price.
4. Look around the store for coupons for items you are buying that day. I still pick up my ads and coupons and put them in a evenlope and put that envelope into my binder so that when I am ready to coupon again I have fresh coupons to start with.
I hope this helps because there is no need to feel bad about not wanting to coupon ALL the Time. But as always I am still here posting deals for everyone.
