So I was blessed enough to be invited to volunteer for the Type A Parent Conference (I was suppose to do it last year but broke my leg right before) it was a honor because I usually can't afford blogging conferences but I have no problem working and being a part of them to be able to go (coughing *hint, hint* Blogalicious, Bloggy Boootcamp, and Mom 2.0)
This was my first Type A and it will not be my last. I met so many wonderful people and learned a ton that if you have been checking out my site I have been implementing. Here are some take away that I learned.
* Don't be afraid to ask what you believe you are worth
* With the Google changes content is king.
* Be you and be authentic your viewership will grow because they like what you are doing not what's popular.
*Don't be afraid to show your personal side its why people like your site. You.
* Make your site easy to navigate and have a clear direction as far as design
( working on that now)
Thanks to Kelby ( Type A Mom) for the wonderful opportunity and I can't wait to come back next year here in Atlanta.
P.S. one more thing I learned GET A ROOM. I took the train and yeah its funner if you stay. Since it lands on my daughters birthday next year I am getting a room and we will make a weekend of it. ( Who wants to come with me to dinner on her birthday?)
Till Next Year!!!!
