Check out how I turned a coffee table that was in a corner & unused to a centerpiece of my new girl cave checkout how I did it below.
As you know I am working on turning my Grandmom’s home into my home. I am currently taking on the master suite. More specifically my granddads man cave.
This is sitting area is special to me as it was his favorite place in the house. So my goal especially in this part is to have pieces of them throughout the house.
As I was decluttering the girl cave and in the corner was this coffee table that use to be in the man cave before my grandfather got sick. As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to use it in this room again in my girl cave.

Now for those that are not aware my theme for my room is grey/pink/white with silver accents. I am not a fan of dark colors which is the total opposite of my grandparents that had an affinity for browns and dark furniture.

I knew I wanted to change the base of it to white instantly. But first, I had to fix the table. The only thing wrong with it is that it only had one of four suction cups. No problem after figuring out how to measure the suction cups I went on Amazon and found them for less than 7 bucks and on prime (it’s a pandemic I will wait for the stuff to come to my door).
Next issue is that I wanted to spray paint this base but wasn’t sure on the finish. After going from site to site I decided on Flat because I didn’t want a shine to it due to the decor I was using on top of it.
I purchased my paint again on Amazon and I highly recommend the spray paint trigger, it gives a more even spray and easier on your hand and both of these were less than 8 dollars.
I cleaned the base with wipes and let it dry. I took the glass top off and painted the base. I used three coats to cover the black. I then put the suction cups in place and cleaned both sides of the glass top and placed it on top. I placed two newly spray painted white books (from dollar tree) and an elephant statue on top. So what do you think?

Tip: Let the base dry completely after each coat.
