Budget for End of the Month
So this month I got paid three times and this is a good thing because on the final check I have no benefits taken out which means my check is bigger than normal and it helps me get back on track if I am behind. Thanks to the stimulus I am on track and I have been working on improving not only my savings but my budgeting overall.
Tithes
This year I have been really making an effort to intently put money into my church. I have been receiving calls ever since my grandmother passed and my daughter has not one but two older people at the church that try to help and encourage her like my grandmother would have while she is in college. This has been a blessing and I am so grateful to my church for all it has to help me. So they definitely get some money automatically every paycheck. I put $60 toward my tithes which is more than I put in all of 2020 sad to say. Year to date I have put in over 200 toward my church and as a single woman and homeowner.
Stocks
I have intentionally been making an effort to put money not only into stock but to start an Roth IRA. This year I have done both. I was already using stash but when they added the option to connect your Roth as well I jumped at the chance. Its only $1.00 a month that's it that's the only fee ever no matter how much you purchase. If you are interested Stash you can join now for free and you will get $20.00 free toward your purchase of your stock.
This month I have purchased new stocks one being a share of Frontier that just went public and also I purchased a share of Joann, which also just went public. So I am excited about those and it has increased the value of my portfolio and that's always a good thing. I have a combined portfolio of $179 dollars as of today.
Sinking Funds
This is something that I have seriously struggled with recently. Most of that was due to me eating out all the time. That has been taking care of thanks to me working on my meal planning. For this paycheck, I was able to put $130.66 in my sinking funds. My sinking funds are starting over this month so below are my funds:
Rainy Day: $19.04
Car Maintenace: $0.56
Emergency Fund: $10.97
Light Bill: $5.40
Water: $7.54
Paint Downstairs: $7.44
Escrow: $6.76
Mortgage: $23.60
Internet: $35.15
Student Loan: $7.77
Verizon: $6.43
Savings
I am saving money as much as possible so that I can get my debt down. I was able to put $113 into my savings account.
