Wow!!! Where do I begin. I believe that TLC showed the most extreme cases they could find. I don’t know these women personally but I can honestly say that I have never been like that. I honestly don’t know anyone that goes to those extremes although I have heard of people that do that.

Most people work and with doing so. When I first started this blog I was working and my savings was on average of 50% to 70% and that to me is a realistic goal. This is not to say that you can’t save more but to me I have to buy food that I actually eat and would normally eat. I also don’t want to spend all my time cutting coupons instead of spending time with my child. This is not to say that these women do that but to me 70 hours getting coupons is crazy. I honestly spend two hours a week organizing my coupons and on average 2 hours a day working on my blog. For a total of 16 hours dealing with coupons. Getting 40 boxes of pasta because its free just isn’t idea to me. I am a single mother and unemployed right now. My stockpile has been a life saver since being laid off but my stockpile is realistic. I have two 24 packs of toliet paper since its just me and my daughter. That on average can last us 6 months. Not 40 packs. That is just insane to me.
Now do I think that what they was doing is wrong? I say to each his or her own. I personally buy alot of free bath and body products. I save some for me and the rest I donate once a year to Hosea Feed the Homeless here in Atlanta because I get it for free. I feel that it could help others instead of keeping that for me. There are so many people in the world that need these product that I could never use all of them in my life time.Extreme Couponing is just that extreme and very rare among us couponers.
Saving 50% is a good day saving 70% is a great day! But saving money and spending time with your family is priceless.
