My tradition started funny enough fiver years ago and my daughter wants us to do it every year and we have. Here is what me and my lil diva do for a event filled night.
Dinner:
For dinner we have Chili or as I call it a Chili Bar. Its a huge pot of chili. Then on the cabinet there is lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, potatoes, french fries, tortilla chips, and fritos so that you can make the chili anyway you want it.
Decorating:

After we eat and clean up the kitchen (cause I have to cook breakfast and dinner). We go to the table and begin our annual gingerbread decorating event. It's always a total epic fail but my daughter loves it.
Baking:
We then bake cookies and gingerbread men so that we can leave out some for Santa. We also make sure to leave a note about the glass being in the fridge (santa hates room temp milk).
Games and Movies with Snacks:
After all that we Open our Christmas Eve presents (PJs). Take our baths or shower. Begin to play board games, watch Christmas movies along with popcorn popped the old fashion way.
Its our tradition…. time with family.
