This is a picture of my lil diva when she was in kindergarten ain't she cute? … okay sorry but she is my one and only. Anyway if you look at the picture it looks like my daughter has on a dress and a sweater right.. your right except she has on a sundress and this picture was taken in October. This just one example of how I change her summer dresses into winter dresses even now.
Today my daughter wore a summer dress with a shrug over it to church this works well for me and my family and with the pieces below I am going to show you how to make this works into the school year.
Sundresses: Of course this has been my main example. You can get your sundresses and get sweaters to go over it then as it gets colder add t-shirt, slip, and tights to make sure your little one is still warm. Like I said above this is something that we still do my daughter is now 13 and she did it as recently as today.
Short Sleeve shirts: This is the time to rack up on these shirts and if you are unsure what to do with them. You can add a colorful thermal long sleeve shirt, long sleeve t-shirts, and turtleneck shirts. All of these are options to go under the colorful shirts that you can get right now.
Skirts: Wearing a slip and tights can make this skirt a year round item.
Shorts: The shorts you can rock some leggings under this and wear these for a little longer than you normally would which is always good.
Now I am fully aware that some kids do not have these options due to weather or school rules but this can save you money when they are home with you as well.
Enjoy!!!
