One question I am asked constantly when teaching a class is how do I know when to stockpile on a certain item cause its at it's lowest price. Check out the reason behind it, how I do it and a FREE Printable to help you.
If you have never been to my classes here in Atlanta or online class then you have heard how I was in 2007-2010 worked in the private sector as a property administrative assistant. I did it all accounts payable/ accounts receivable, tenant payments, reconciliations, maintenance dispatch…. you get the picture. I was making a decent amount of money and I was still couponing.
I like to tell people that I still remember the day I was laid off Jan. 11, 2010 I was laid off right after a winter storm. I was immediately scared but knew what I had to do. I went straight to unemployment to get that started. I then went home applied for food stamps and started looking for another job.
During that time there was a backlog EVERYWHERE and it took almost two months to get my unemployment and my food stamps which means I went almost two months before I saw any money. If it wasn't for my couponing and stockpiling food I would not have been able to feed me and my daughter. My couponing allowed me to stockup on food and save money so that I was able to pay my rent twice and all my bills without blinking an eye. Now my savings account was dang near gone but we survived.

Stockpiling help you save money by using the food you have on hand and stocking up on that item when its at its lowest price.
Now I know you are wondering ok… but how do you find that out?
Glad you asked.
Every store has a sales cycle where they rotate the prices of items. Here in Atlanta the average sales cycle is 4 to 6 weeks. So if your a weekly shopper than you need to keep track of the price of your favorite items for 4 to 6 weeks so you know the lowest price.
I have created a printable to help you with this task now this only last for 4 weeks but usually I do 8 weeks to make sure. So I suggest two rows of the same item for 1 – 8 weeks of low price stockpile list.
