My financial goal for this year are big goals. I think that some of the goals I have for this year are pretty big for me on a single income. Financial goals are something that you should always try to plan out in the beginning of the year.
Create a savings account that has at least a month of income
This is something that I use to have at all time, unfortunately when you are a single mom and only have one income this is something that happens to the best of us. So one of my goals this year is to get my savings back to that place.
Get my student loans together
I use to have this completely under control until I got sick with my Ovarian Cyst. That took my student loans down a spiral that I am still in the process of fixing. I have worked out most of them but still have some more to go.
Vacation for my family
Doing this as a single mom is a super hard task but my daughter wants to go to Miami and that is not far so the plane ticket is cheap and I know with research I can get us a nice hotel. So I am saving money for that as well.
Financial goals are something you should have each year. I like to look at my process every quarter to see if I am headed in the right direction. This is something that I suggest all people on a budget once I get to that quarter I also look over my bills, to make sure I am not getting over charged, I look to see if I can change a plan to make my bill lower or negotiate with.
Now I won't get into specific but alot of how this will happen will depend on a number of things including me working more outside the home or me making more from my site. My hope is that it is the later and I am able to enjoy the last two years my daughter is in my home. But I am not afraid of working outside the home as I did it most of the time I have had this site.
