After taking time to figure out this new phase of my life. Being an empty nester, soon to be divorced, and a new homeowner has not come without struggle, stress, and sad to say a lot of tears.
This has honestly been one of the most trying times inn my life from losing my family, losing my husband, moving on from friendships that no longer made my social outings stressful. My life has changed dramatically and I feel as if I have grown significantly these past two years.

My financial took a hit as I became a homeowner and adjuster to life without my support system. It’s been difficult but I am finally getting to a place where it’s stressful but I am managing. My financial life and self care have gotten to a happy medium.
While I miss my family like crazy and still missing them often I try to focus on the good things in my life. Like making my family house my home. Learning to save money and no make financial decisions based on how I am feelings.
Here are some lessons I learned during these two years:
- Real friends support you no matter what.
- Real love is only real if both of you love each other
- My life is mine to live and I have to live it to the fullest.
- Loving me is the most important thing.
