It's starting to get cold and you know I am always trying to find ways to get a healthy meal that's quick and easy for the winter. This is one I am proud to say fits the bill and takes only two pots. Check out this easy recipe for Red & Black beans with Rice.
I love Andouille sausage and never knew that Johnsonville carried it so when I went to my local store I was happy to see it. I knew immediately what I wanted to make and last night I made this easy recipe to rave reviews my daughter is demanding that I make this again soon.
1 bag of frozen Chipotle Mix ( 1 cup of onions, celery, bell peppers diced)
1 can of chicken broth
1 can of black beans
1 can of red beans
1 package of Johnsonville Andouille Sausage
1 Cup of Rice
2 Tablespoon of butter
In a pot start your rice. In a pan you will put in the butter and the Chiptole mix and saute the vegetables add in the sausage and cook thoroughly. Once cook add in the chicken broth and beans (drained). Let simmer for 20 mins. Once done add to the pot of cooked rice and serve. Enjoy !!!
