From time to time my friends like to get me out of the house and one of my favorite thing to do is to have brunch. I don't do it often but its always awesome to have a new go to place check out my review below:
I was invited by my friend Tami of Talking with Tami to a blogging event to try a new restaurant. Getting out of the house lately is rare for me so I jumped at the chance to get out the house. I grabbed my friend Katherine of La La Land Mommy and we went to try Nouveau Bar & Grill.
Nouveau Bar & Gill is located in Downtown College Park, GA which has become a destination for great food on the south-side. The parking is limited but oh so worth it.
Tip: There is a ton of parking in the back of the building but it is unpaved. Less chance of getting a ticket though.

The blogging event was hosted by Tami and we also go to meet with the only African American owned liquor distributor in Georgia. We got to try some wines from South Africa and if you know me then you know that my favorite wine in the world is a dessert wine from South Africa so I was eager to try what they had to offer.

The wine was amazing and I like the Chardonnay the best I am a white wine, moscato, dessert wine girl. Some of the wine was not my speed but I have never like red wine but next to me was an avid red wine drinker and was told it was really good.

The food was good and I will definitely be back my favorite was the Chicken & Waffles. The waffles are made from sweet potato and it was amazing. The chicken was seasoned great and through out.

We also tried deviled eggs and deep friend rib. All great and enjoyable I honestly had no complaints. The signature drink was called Holy Water and its was so good you have it with or without alcohol and it was great I loved it.
The main entree was a seafood and grits and since I am allergic to shellfish I was unable to have the meat so I just had it with the veggies and grits and sauce. I wish they would do a chicken with this for those off us that can't do seafood it would be a great alternative a little Cajun flavor would go good with the sauce. But it was good and everyone who ate the seafood said it was amazing.

The dessert was amazing my husband makes an amazing bread pudding and I hate to say it this place made me be like ok his bread pudding is second best. The bread pudding was a hit with everyone and I know I will be back to this establishment again. Check out the pictures below.
