This post is sponsored by Net Gear they provided me with a mobile hotspot and time to use. But all opinions and thoughts are my own.
We are coming on that time of year for us bloggers, Spring cleaning post are coming out, sponsorship are back to the norm now that we are in the second quarter but the excitement is in the air for us why? - Mobile charger– Sometimes you just are so busy networking, learning, and working your social media magic that you just can't get to a charger. I carry a huge one ( charges my phone and my laptop that I recharge every night while I am at the conference. No worries if you don't have one. They usually give them out at conferences.
- Business Cards– OMG I can not stress this enough please have business cards. It is a must have at conferences for you to work with brands and even future collabs with other bloggers.
- Ipad/Phone/laptop– you gotta take notes in the sessions your in some of the information is PRICELESS and will help you get to that next level in your field. there are also some great places to put your notes. The most popular one is EVERNOTES.
- Sweater– if you hate being cold bring a sweater. I myself am anemic and I am always cold. I have my heater on a work year round (my diet changes have helped but still have issues). The conferences are COLD. So be warned sleeveless is not your friend.
- Mobile Hotspot– I am personally not a fan of using all my phone juice cause my hotspot is my phone. Even though I have it. I have a dedicated AT&T WiFi hotspot by NETGEAR. The great thing about it, is that I don't have a monthly plan… how cool is that all I have to do is purchase a prepaid wireless card whenever I have a conference and I know I have service regardless of where I am. Its amazing and a budget saver.
Hopefully, this will be help to newbies as they get ready for all the upcoming first conferences. This is definitely some things I wish I would have known when I went to my first conference.
